While the FIA WEC season is only halfway through, the continental European Le Mans Series yesterday drew to a close in Portimão, Portugal.
Warm congratulations to all ELMS race winners and champions, particularly to former WEC competitor, G-Drive Racing who claimed the championship at the penultimate round in Belgium last month.
Of particular note, the WEC’s Matteo Cairoli and Giorgio Roda teamed with Giorgio’s father Gianluca - the father-son pairing becoming 2018 GTE Champions for German team Proton Racing.
Congratulations too to British team RLR MSport who took LMP3 honours for 2018.
