The Lone Star Le Mans weekend has already seen one thrilling race with an entertaining Tudor United SportsCar Championship race at Circuit of the Americas today.
As soon as the cars from the TUSC pulled in to parc ferme, the team of FIA World Endurance championship logistics personnel sprung in to action to transform the pit lane in to full FIA specification for this evening’s race.
It is a major operation with significant amounts of pit equipment and temporary infrastructure to manoeuvre before the feature attraction – the fourth round of the 2014 FIA Sportscar Championship begins this afternoon when a full grid of 29 of the world’s most exciting race cars, including the incredibly technologically advanced LMP1-H cars, fight for victory in the 6 Hours of Circuit of Americas.
The grid will be green flagged at 16.56 local time with a 17.00 race start.
