Iron Lynx’s pair of Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 contenders will head into battle in the FIA World Endurance Championship this season sporting striking new liveries, as the Italian outfit bids to build upon its stellar conclusion to the 2025 campaign.
Having debuted the Mercedes in FIA WEC competition in Qatar 12 months ago, Iron Lynx continued to develop the iconic German sportscar throughout the year. Piloted by Maxime Martin, Lin Hodenius and Martin Berry, the #61 entry first troubled the scorers in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, prior to causing a stir with a second-place finish in Bahrain last November, coming within just 0.786s of a famous victory.
Mercedes-AMG Performance Driver Martin and Australian ace Berry remain on-board for 2026, when they will be partnered by former TF Sport Corvette racer, Rui Andrade in a predominantly black car.
The sister #79 Mercedes will be shared by Hodenius, the returning Matteo Cressoni and series newcomer, Johannes Zelger and will be primarily blue. Both feature elements of Iron Lynx’s pictogram to create an immediately-recognisable pattern.
The new liveries will be showcased for the first time during the pre-season ‘Prologue’ group test on 22/23 March. Following the Qatar 1812km curtain-raising contest a few days later, the hunt for honours will continue with races at Imola (19 April), Spa-Francorchamps (9 May), Le Mans (13-14 June), Interlagos (12 July), COTA (6 September) and Fuji (27 September), prior to concluding with the traditional eight-hour season finale in Bahrain on 7 November.
