The entry list for the official Test Day ahead of the third round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, features 56 cars just as it will for the race week.
Several of the drivers, however, will be missing from Sunday’s test due to commitments in other racing series. Audi Sport Team Joest’s No.3 entry – which competed in the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps – will once again be without Briton Oliver Jarvis who is on Super GT duty at Autopolis. Also in Japan will be Lucas Ordonez and Satoshi Motoyoma who this year will be driving the No.0 Nissan ZEOD RC – the car’s appearance a dress rehearsal for the Japanese manufacturer’s recently announced LMP1-H programme for the 2015 FIA WEC.
In LMGTE Am, Ram Racing’s Mark Patterson won’t be seen this weekend in the team’s No.53 Ferrari 458 Italia as he’s racing in the UK. As has been reported HERE, Prospeed’s Markus Palttala will be replacing Matthieu Vaxiviere for the race but won’t be at the test, neither will Nicolas Armindo from 2014 ELMS and 2013 WEC entrant, IMSA Performance Matmut who is racing elsewhere in France.
Those that are absent have all competed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in recent years and are on the ACO’s list of drivers authorised to compete.
